Friday 25th September 2020
Registration will take place between 9 – 9:30am at UWS Ayr Campus. There will be tea/coffee available and you’ll get a chance to mingle with your fellow-fiddlers before getting briefed on the weekend. This will be followed by the tutor workshops, which will run until 5pm. The Friday evening session will take place at a local hotel in Ayr, walking distance from UWS Ayr Campus. A wonderful opportunity to spend some more relaxed time with your new friends and the fiddle tutors, where you can play some of the tunes you’ve been learning throughout the weekend as well as sharing some of your favourite traditional fiddle tunes.
Saturday 26th September 2020
The day will begin at 10am and workshops will take place until 4:30pm. On Saturday evening, there is an intimate concert taking place at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway. All 4 of our fiddle weekend tutors will be giving a very special performance, individually and en masse. This event is open to public too, but Fiddle Weekend participants will gain special access, members of the public can find their tickets for the event here (if you would like to bring your loved ones with you!).
Again, there will be an evening session organised for after the tutors’ concert!
